I had never been in Shediac NB prior to this trip home. And, honestly, until this trip I had never really been a fan of the Bread & Breakfast idea. Now, I am a convert! We stayed at La Lousianne, 427 Main Street in downtown Shediac. (506 361 0505) The historic home is absolutely beautiful - the gardens, the exterior of the home and every room inside. The rooms are inviting, warm and friendly - as are the hosts Janet and Judy. The brochure for La Lousianne offers a true education. "Let us be your home away from home. This 1914 Dutch Colonial home, built for Mrs. Albert Webster, has been repurposed to offer Maritime travellers an elegant and restful place to stay. After a four (yes FOUR) course breakfast to start your days' adventure.............."If your travels bring you this way you really should check it out. I highly recommend it.
